Working on building 40 model villages in Gulbarga district in year 2012 under funding from Infosys foundation.

Vasu looked after construction of 2,262 houses in 18 villages of 5 districts of North Karnataka with a total investment of Rs. 30 Crores ($ 6.8 Million). When the 2009 October floods devastated over 95,000 homes and caused impact to over 15 Million people, Government of Karnataka initiated AASARE, a program to help flood victims in a public private partnership. Infosys agreed to help rehabilitate over 2,250 families by building them houses in a higher plateau. Government of Karnataka provided land, made layouts, water and electricity. Infosys worked with three NGOs and identified over 25 contractors to do the work. It addressed the challenges related to transportation to remote villages, lack of basic amenities, material supply, skilled labour availability; scheduling and unforeseen circumstances in the villages spread across 300 km. Completed and delivered the houses were before the monsoon of 2011.
During this project, he also developed a software product that helps in management of such large programs. This uses new techniques including ability to update the data using SMS and getting the details on mobile through routines developed using SOA (service oriented architecture).
January 2007 – February 2009
Vasu looked after program management related to delivery of Application Development and Maintenance services at this Fortune 500 Electronic Component Distribution Company, an 8 Million USD a year account for Infosys. Different projects in the areas of Electronic Commerce, Warehouse Management, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Order Booking and Management, Financial Reporting, Application Testing were managed for successful initiation and execution. Applications written in diverse technologies like Java, ASP.Net, Open Systems, EDI/GENTRAN, IBM Mainframe were maintained and enhanced further. New interfaces were built between legacy applications and SAP as the SAP implementation was carried out for business transformation.
January 1999 – December 2002
In four years with this company, Vasu architected and developed a software product for the colleges and libraries. He managed entire life cycle of the product including market analysis, requirement gathering, high level design, detailed design, application development, various testing cycles, deployment and post deployment support. He positioned the company as a leading provider of application in this segment of the market and laid foundation of deployment of the product at over 300 clients nationwide, with each license being sold for a price between Rs.40 Thousand and Rs.2 Lakh in the domestic market.
November 1991 - December 1998
In these 7 years, Vasu worked with different organizations in various capacities. He started his career as a Lecturer in Electronics and Communication Engineer. He then joined software industry and worked as Software Engineer and Systems Analyst in both India and USA, until his return to India in 1999 to develop products for the domestic market.
2007 - Master of Business Administration
Vasu obtained Professional Master of Business Administration from University of Massachusetts, Amherst in USA in 2007 with a CGPA of 3.92 out of 4.0. Scored” A” Grade in 16 of the 18 subjects studied. He specialized in Entrepreneurship in the studies.
Vasu obtained Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electronics and Communication in Gulbarga University, Gulbarga in India 1991. He scored an average score of 75% and final year score of 81% and obtained 1st Rank to the University. He was awarded two Gold Medals at the University for being University Topper.
Vasu completed Pre University Course in Karnataka with a score of 80%.
Vasu completed his 10th Grade in Karnataka with a score of 84% and 57th rank in the state of Karnataka, among over 200,000 students who appeared for the exam.
